About Us

Bangladesh Species Database (in brief, bdspecies) is an online database on Bacteria, Archaea, Protozoans, Algae, Plants and Animals recorded from Bangladesh. This database was launched by Professor Dr. ABM Mohsin, Department of Fisheries, University of Rajshahi, Rajshahi-6205, Bangladesh at the beginning of the year 2019 to explore the biodiversity of Bangladesh. We hope that it will be very helpful to the students, teachers, researchers, experts, policymakers as well as all other knowledge seekers to know the information on the biodiversity of Bangladesh. Moreover, it will be played an important role in the conservation of genetic, species and habitat biodiversity of Bangladesh.
